Activities

The instrumental activities and programs conducted and executed by HEADS NEPAL so far:

  • Consultant services for the identification of doctors and hospitals according to the nature of diseases
  • Facilitating the care-taking relatives of the patient during their stay at the hospital
  • Providing financial grant up to Rs. 2000 per patient as per the financial status and emergent events
  • Additional interest free loan assistance as per the requirement of patients
  • Periodical (quarterly) blood-donation programs since the establishment of organization
  • Providing stretchers to the countryside branches
  • Fund-raising through different social programs
  • Provided medical services at Lamachaur, Gorkha 1997-2003 A.D.
  • Provided NRs. 10,000/- for the treatment of the injured and physically challenged people of the people’s movement of Nepal 2005 A.D.
  • Conducted general medical health camp and distributed medicines free of charge at Sikhre, Lamachaur, Rithepani and Dandada of Baguwa, Gorkha on June 2007 A.D.
  • Four days-long health awareness training was conducted for the women of rural families on June 2007 A.D.
  • Pro-lapse campaign (with free medicines) was held in Baguwa, Gorkha on February, 2007 A.D. in collaboration with Manamohan Memorial Hospital. The 43 patients, who had been referred to Kathmandu for the surgery, were operated from the financial support of Community Service Foundation, Bhaktapur.
  • A gynecological camp was held in collaboration with Community Service Foundation, Bhaktapur, in Ghyampesal, Gorkha on 2008 A.D.
  • Formation of the Consumer Committee in the leadership of Gorkha Baguwa branch and assistance from the Central Committee which succeeded to influence the Central Plan of the then Government to allocate budget to finance the Baguwa Water Lifting Supply and Sanitation Project
  • Regular Publication and distribution of telephone directory in every 2 years of its members living throughout the country on 2007 A.D.
  • Inception of Eternal (Akshay) Fund residing more than NRS. 5, 00, 000/-
  • Ancillary fund for emergency services has also been established independently
  • Flood-victims have been provided financial support every year
  • Construction of Martyrs’ Memorial Passenger Rest Spot costing NRs. 53,000/- at Lamachaur of Baguwa, Gorkha.
  • Financial support for rural electrification
  • Foundation of Supportive Relief Fund for emergency services.
  • Conducted Child Health Campaign in collaboration with Medical Checks for Children (MCC), Netherlands for three consecutive years 2009, 2010 and 2011 A.D.
  • Developed a strong foundations of above 1000 General Members (NRS. 365/- per year), 120 Life Members (NRS. 10, 000 for once in a lifetime) and 2 Supreme (Shreshkar) Members (More than NRS. 1, 00, 000/-) and the number is still increasing from Gorkha, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Rasuwa, Dhading, Nuwakot, Tanahaun, Lamjung, Baglung, Gulmi, Chitwan etc.
  • Established a co-operative named “Daraudi Saving and Credit Co-operative” with investments from the team members of HEADS Nepal to excel economically for sustainable development.
